Sustainability by Utopians Q&A

Get direct, authoritative answers to the most common questions regarding UTP’s Utopian Sustainability Impact

At the governance level, the Student Representative Council (SRCUTP) and the UTP Student Affairs Council (USAC) shape campus green policy and direct student co-curricular frameworks. At the operational club level, the Go Green Movement (GGM) executes environmental conservation and recycling drives, while UTPrihatin leads community outreach and social welfare programmes across Malaysia.

UTP highlights student leadership through four flagship, video-documented initiatives:

– A-Qual Life: Student-engineered water filtration and sanitation solutions deployed to improve drinking water access in rural communities.

– Youth Cleanup Day: Campus and regional waste recovery, river restoration, and recycling campaigns managed by student volunteers.

– Beacon of Hope: Educational empowerment and community upliftment outreach targeting underserved youth and vulnerable groups.

– Sanggar Kirana: Cultural preservation and community art engagement initiatives linking heritage conservation with youth empowerment

All UTP undergraduates can participate by connecting directly with the Student Affairs Division (CSAD), joining accredited societies like GGM or UTPrihatin, or enrolling in the mandatory RISE (Resilient Innovation for Social Engagement) module
